Creating of scientific-technical products and putting them into production.

On the base of technical tasks given by customers, enterprise carried out works concerning to separate items, systems, complexes, as well as considered to be co-executor of huge scientific -technical programes.

During Soviet period enterprise carried out works in the following spheres:

• Precise instrument-making
• Optical-mechanical instrument making
• Optical-electronical instrument making of infra-red diapason
• Electron instrument making
• Medical and ecological instrument making

History of Enterprise
CJSC "Orbita" was established in 1967 and was member of Armenian SSR science academy until 1973. "Orbita" was acting as Research Center for applied optics.

Since 1973 enterprise was functioning in the Ministry of Defence Industry of USSR. CJSC "Orbita" was privatized by JV CJSC "International Business Center" in 2003.

"Orbita"'s daughter enterprises are Central Construction Bureau "Astro" and Transcaucasian optical center "TOC"

Brief description of main production processes
Enterprise is functioning as a technological cycle from preparing operation to the output of ready products. Main technological processes of enterprise are the following:

• Aluminum moulding in the ground and under pressure

• Mechanical machining on the numerical programmed control equipment
• Obtaining parts by electroerosion machining

• Galvanic cover for steel and non-ferrous metals
• Making of print plates(component boards)
• Making of print plates on the base of glass ceramics,
• Assembly of optical nodes and equipments,
• Assembling and mounting of electronic and microelectronic equipments,

• Mechanical and climatic tests, as well as tests against special influences.
